Welcome to Henley Brook Primary School.
My name is Daniel Bergin and it is my privilege to be working with you as foundation principal of Henley Brook Primary School, a brand new Primary School for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 opening in 2024.
Prior to this appointment I spent 5 years as Principal of Canning Vale Primary School and before that Deputy Principal of Dawson Park Primary School. I have taught in the Pilbara and the Kimberley regions in a range of settings from the School of the Air to a remote aboriginal community. I have taught in both the private education system and the public system and have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of schools and locations that I’ve been fortunate to work in.
The primary school years of a child’s life are so important. In life, our experiences become our memories, and our memories become our stories. The formative years of a child’s life is chapter 1 of that story; and, like in any story, the first chapter plays a vital role in setting the scene for the entire book. This responsibility sits heavily on my shoulders and that is why I will work with you to ensure we build a connected school within a connected community. A school where everyone feels a sense of belonging, connection and purpose. A school where every child will thrive.
